Covid Recovery Stage 3 – What does it mean to me?

Posted on: 2 July

The QLD Premier this week provided a muchly anticipated update on COVID restrictions. One that many industries were waiting with bated breath, the golf and tourism industry included.

We appreciate you have been eagerly awaiting the day that you are able to gather in larger groups in one area, where we can again have events and most importantly, alcohol on the Drinks Cart! Well that day has arrived!

We are pleased to release the following operational update and ask that you bear with us as we again adjust the way we are working and what we can achieve with a reduced team and labour capacity.

Ambrosia Bar and Cafe: From Saturday 4th July.

Opens 6.30am daily

Closes Tuesday/Thursday/ Saturday 4.30pm and as business is justified. Outside of this, 3pm. Please don’t abuse staff if the bar is shut- it won’t be tolerated and won’t get you drinks!

After 12.30pm, carts will be set up beside Starters Hut. Collect cart key from Golf Shop staff.

Car Park closes 5pm.

Driving Range: Temporarily Closed.

4 x Practice nets for use of Members and guests have been erected. Please consider and respect other Members and don’t commandeer the practice bay for hours! Use your own balls for the Practice Bays and Chipping Green.

We have made the decision in light of the current range situation to increase the distribution of prize money whilst the range is out of play and we trust you find this agreeable.

Do we still have to practice safe distancing and contact tracing? Yes!

– In the Pro Shop, do not exit through the side door. Please and when we say please, just do! Please exit via the door toward the Fountain Court. Stop being lazy, social distancing is still a thing!

– A new system for recording your details has been implemented. Once you enter your details once, all you need to do is scan and check in. It will save you writing details everytime. Ask our team for assistance.

Do we still have to wash hands or sanitise? Absolutely and regularly.

Do we still need to mark our cards, use preferred lies in bunkers and not touch the flag? For sure!

We are making great progress, however, we are reliant on the cooperation of our Members to ensure we are all keeping healthy and safe. Keep it going, as a club we are one of the success stories.

We are equally excited to be able to increase our operating capacities and hope that you continue to support the club.

Best,

Tracey-Lea Tiley

General Manager.
